Extended Provision

St. Edward's started an afterschool facility in September 2011, in order to assist working parents with their childcare. The afterschool club runs daily from 3.15 pm till 6.00pm and offers places to 40 children.

At St. Edward's we use our own staff as afterschool facilitators to offer continuity in our pastoral care. We do offer many fun activities such as arts and crafts, board games, computer, Xbox games and cooking. We also have a menu of hot and cold meals which is provided for each child.

Breakfast Club

In response to Parent demand we were very pleased to have opened the doors to St Edward’s Breakfast Club. It is a drop-in service costing £2 per day (payable on the day) and open to all children from Years 1 to 6. Children can arrive from 8am, Monday to Friday and have breakfast with the opportunity to play games with their friends after.

Breakfast includes a choice of toast and cereal with juice or water. “It is a lot of fun, you get to see your friends early in the morning and play lots of games” reports Gracia of Heather Class. Children in Reception can join in the fun after the Christmas holidays.

If you are dropping your child off please do not use the Staff Car park as a drop off point. You must park off site to ensure pupils safety

After School Clubs

St. Edward’s School has an After School Club which runs from 3.30 – 6pm. Application forms are available at the School Office. St Edward’s offers a variety of extended day opportunities; these vary throughout the year and are targeted towards particular age groups. They include various sporting clubs, but also dance, music and homework clubs.
